The author studies the theory of Jacobi forms over a totally real algebraic number field. Classical Jacobi forms are defined as functions satisfying certain transformation properties for matrices in \(\text{SL}_{2}(\mathbb{Z})\), and vectors in \(\mathbb{Z}^2\). The author's generalization arises by replacing \(\mathbb{Z}\) with the ring of integers in a totally real number fields. The case corresponding to the imaginary quadratic number fields was already treated by Gritsenko and Krieg.
