Reliability approximation for Markov chain imbeddable systems (Q5937468)

Using the approximation formula, based on the Perron-Frobenius theorem for maximum and minimum of the row sums, the authors calculate the reliability of some complex systems, the structures of which can be described through finite Markov chains. Applications to one- and two-dimensional structures ``\(r\) within consecutive \(k\) out of \(n\)'' are considered as examples.
