Let \((B, H, \mu)\) be an abstract Wiener space and \(\varphi: B\rightarrow R\) an \(H\)-continuous function. Define \(U=\{z\in B: \varphi(z)>0\}\) and assume that \(\mu(U)>0\). Then one can define a Dirichlet form \(({\mathcal E}_U, {\mathcal D}_U)\). The author shows that, when \(U\) is \(H\)-connected, the Dirchlet from above is irreducible. This result is closely related to a result of \textit{S. Kusuoka} [J. Funct. Anal. 103, No. 2, 229-274 (1992; Zbl 0772.58003)]. The difference is that the condition that \(\varphi\) is strong \(C^{\infty}-C_0\) assumed in Kusuoka's paper has been removed.
