The quantum stochastic differential equation (QSDE) of Hudson-Parthasarathy can be obtained from the Schrödinger equation either by rescaling time and space or assuming unphysical (e.g. unbounded from below) and singular Hamiltonians. The author constructs a toy model of the QSDE which can be rigorously derived from a positive, relativistic Hamiltonian applying physically meaningful ultrarelativistic limits. The interpretation of this model in terms of non-demolition quantum measurements is also discussed.
