Some applications of a Bombieri-type theorem in totally real number fields (Q5939036)

The paper contains some further application of a Bombieri-Vinogradov-type mean value theorem in totally real algebraic number fields due to the author [Acta Arith. 51, 173-193 (1988; Zbl 0605.10023)]. In combination with sieve methods, the following questions, which were extensively studied in \(\mathbb{N}\), are treated in totally real algebraic number fields. 1. The greatest prime factor of \(\prod_{p\leq x} F(p)\) where \(F\) is an irreducible polynomial of degree \(g\geq 1\). 2. Upper bounds for \(\#\{p\leq x,\;F(p)\) prime (or almost prime)\}.
