The following singular two-point boundary value problem is considered \[ x^{-\alpha}(x^\alpha y')'= f(x,y),\qquad x\in (0,1],\tag{1} \] under the boundary conditions \[ y(0)= A,\qquad y(1)= B,\tag{2} \] or \[ y(0)= A,\qquad y'(1)= B,\tag{3} \] where \(A\), \(B\) are finite constants and \(\alpha\in \mathbb{R}\). An iterative sequence converging to a solution to problem (1), (2) or (1), (3) under different conditions on \(f\) and \(\alpha\) is constructed.
