Blow-up solutions for ordinary differential equations associated to harmonic maps and their applications (Q5939227)

The authors refine the work on an O.D.E. due to \textit{T. Nagasawa} and \textit{K. Ueno} [J. Math. Soc. Japan 50, No. 3, 545-555 (1998; Zbl 0923.34011)], and obtained a result on non-existence or existence of equivariant harmonic maps. As a result, the authors extend the non-existence result of a harmonic map from Euclidean space to Hadamard manifolds due to \textit{K. Akutagawa} and \textit{A. Tachikawa} [Tokyo J. Math. 16, No. 1, 131-404 (1993; Zbl 0791.53044)].
