Generalized vertex algebras generated by parafermion-like vertex operators (Q5939576)

The second author of this paper introduced and studied the local systems of untwisted vertex operators [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 109, 143-195 (1996; Zbl 0854.17035)] and the local systems of twisted vertex operators [Comtemp. Math. 193, 203-236 (1996; Zbl 0844.17022)]. \textit{C. Dong} and \textit{J. Lepowsky} introduced and studied certain generalizations of vertex algebras with monodromy and vertex operators relative to a subspace of the space spanned by a lattice [Generalized vertex algebras and relative vertex operators. Prog. Math. 112 (Birkhäuser, Boston) (1993; Zbl 0803.17009)]. In this paper, the authors extend the second author's results on local systems to generalized vertex algebras in Dong and Lepowsky's work. The proofs of the main results involve essentially new approaches.
