This paper deals with an explicit representation of the solution of the two-dimensional heat equation through solutions of boundary integral equations in the case of stationary boundary conditions. Using this representation, the authors give a semidiscretization, in time, with accuracy depending on the smoothness of the initial data. Also, an approximation with spectral accuracy for a time-dependent boundary condition using Duhamel's integrals is given.
