The tolerant qualocation method for variable-coefficient elliptic equations on curves (Q5939773)

The paper deals with a modification of the qualocation method for variable-coefficient elliptic equations on curves. The modification achieves the same high-order convergence as the standard spline qualocation but with meaker assumptions on the exact solution. The presented modification replaces the numerical quadrature for the right-hand side of the elliptic equation by an exact computation. In several lemmas and theorem the order of convergence is proved. Two examples of the singular integral equation numerically confirm the presented theoretical resultsvery well such that the paper extends the types of problems where the qualocation method can be used.
