The author studies the existence of solutions to the two-point second-order boundary value problem on a time scale \(\mathbb{T}\), \[ y^{\Delta\Delta} =f(t,y,y^\Delta), \tag{1} \] \[ y(t_1)=y_1,\;y(t_2)=y_2,\tag{2} \] with \(t_1,t_2\in \mathbb{T}\) and \(y_1,y_2 \in\mathbb{R}\). The following hypotheses are employed to show that the boundary value problem (1), (2) has a unique solution: (A) continuity of \(f\), (B) unique global solvability of the initial value problems associated with (1), (C) uniqueness of solutions to (1) with two generalized zeros, and (D) certain uniform convergence and boundedness for a sequence of solutions to (1). The tools include the continuous dependence of solutions to dynamic equations on time scales on initial conditions and an open mapping type theorem. This paper will be useful for researchers interested in solvability of nonlinear dynamic equations on time scales, and in boundary value problems for differential and/or difference equations.
