The paper is concerned with establishing the upper bound of a certain type of fixed set in a closed smooth manifold with involution. The authors' work improves the result of Boardman. The paper is written in a very lively and concise manner. Many proofs are nice pieces of finest techniques presenting a balanced blend of theory.
