Asymptotics of minimizers for the one-dimensional Ginzburg-Landau model of superconductivity (Q5940136)

The author studies the Ginzburg-Landau model of superconductivity. According to the classical theory the order parameter and the induced magnetic potential must minimize the Ginzburg-Landau functional. The problem of asymptotic limit of the minimizers is studied. The paper answers this question and gives the asymmetric limit as Aftalion conjectured. Error estimates between the minimizers and their limits are also given. The proof is based on some energy estimates.
