Here, the authors consider the one-dimensional nonautonomous neutral differential equation \[ \frac{d}{dt}\big[x(t)-f(t,x(p(t)))\big]+g(t,x(q(t))) = 0, \] with \(g\geq t_0\), where \(p,q: [t_0,\infty)\to \mathbb{R}\) are continuous and strictly increasing, \(p(t)<t\), \(q(t)<t\) for all \(t\geq t_0\), and \(xg(t,x)\geq 0\) for \(t\geq t_0\), \(x\in \mathbb{R}\). The authors obtain sufficient conditions for the zero solution to this equation with unbounded delay to be uniformly stable as well as asymptotically stable.
