The authors present a novel approach to the study of the discrete Painlevé equation on a purely geometric treatment. The two equations studied here have been derived independently in previous works of the authors. In the geometrical approach the only assumption is that the equation has the symmetry of the Weyl group. The usefulness of this geometrical approach lies in the fact that it offers a natural frame from the classification of the discrete Painlevé equations.
