The authors are interested in the continuous dependence of entropy solutions to systems of conservation laws, that is \[ \partial_t u+\partial_x f(u)= 0,\quad u(x,t)\in \mathbb{R}^N,\quad x\in\mathbb{R},\quad t\geq 0. \] They establish the sharp \(L^1\) continuous dependence of entropy solutions, which contains quadratic and cubic dissipation terms. Moreover, they show that for general systems, the result holds for solutions with small total variation. Furthermore, for a typical model arising in continuum physics, the authors extend their approach to solutions with large total variation.
