Intermediate rings between matrix rings and Ornstein dual pairs (Q5941610)

It is shown that isomorphism of intermediate rings \(B_1\) and \(B_2\) between rings of row and column finite as well as row finite matrices of sizes \(\alpha_i\times\alpha_i\) (\(i=1,2\)) over unital rings \(R_1,R_2\), respectively, can be characterized by the weaker condition of being Morita equivalent where \(\alpha_i\) (\(i=1,2\)) are assumed to be infinite cardinalities. Moreover, in this case \(\alpha_1=\alpha_2\) and \(R_1\), \(R_2\) are also Morita equivalent.
