Let \(C_d\) be the category of \(d\)-dimensional closed oriented manifolds \(Y_n\) and cobordism \(X:\partial X=\overline Y_0\cup Y_1\). Here \(\overline Y\) is \(Y\) with reversed orientation. Let \(C_{Gr}\) be the category with objects \((H,W)\); \(H=W\oplus W^\perp\), and \(C_{\text{vect}}\) the category of vector spaces and maps. Fock functor \(Z:C_d\to C_{\text{vect}}\) defining Functorial QFT is given by \(C_d\to C_{\text{Gr}}\to C_{\text{vect}}\). \(Z(Y_n)\): vector spaces, \(Z_x\in Z(\partial X)\), and \(Z(0)={\mathfrak C}\). A gauge transformation in the bulk \(X\) sends \(Z_x\) to \(\gamma(g;X)Z_{g^{-1}}x\). This action defines an abelian extension of the gauge group. The authors also explain some facts about determinant bundles and a bundle \({\mathfrak F}\) of Fock spaces \({\mathfrak F}_w\) associated to the families of elliptic boundary value problems \(D_P\) (i.e. EBVP). If \(\partial X\) is connected, \(Z_x\) is expressed by path integral \(Z_x:{\mathfrak E}(Y)\to C\), \(Z_x(f)= \int_{{\mathfrak E}(X;f)}e^{-S( \psi)} D\psi\), where \({\mathfrak E}(X;f)= \{\psi;\psi|_Y= f\}\). Let \(M=X_0 \cup_YX_1\) with \(\partial X_0=\overline Y_0\cup Y\) and \(\partial X_1=\overline Y\cup Y_1\). Sewing formula \(\int_{{\mathfrak E}(M)}e^{-S(\psi)}D\psi=\int_{{\mathfrak E}(Y)} Z_{X_0}(f) Z_{X_1} (f)Df\) holds for \(Z_X(P): =\det (D_P)\) associated to an EBVP.
