Spectrum of selfadjoint differential operators from a parametric family (Q5942004)

Properties of the eigenvalues \(\{\lambda_m(\theta)\}\) with respect to the parameter \(\theta\) are studied for the differential operator \[ \ell(\theta)=(-1)^n\left(\frac{y^{(n)}(x)}{p_0(\theta,x)}\right)^{(n)} +\sum_{k=1}^n (-1)^{n-k}(p_k(\theta,x)y^{(n-k)}(x))^{(n-k)} \] with selfadjoint boundary conditions also dependent on \(\theta\).
