In order to complete the classification of Birkhoff integrable systems, the author addresses the problem of integrability of systems with Hamiltonian of the form \[ H=\frac{1}{2}\sum_{i=1}^{n}p_i^2+\sum_{i=1}^{n-1}\exp(q_i - q_{i+1}) + \exp(-q_1-q_2)+ \exp(q_n)+\exp(2q_n), \quad n \geq 4. \] For \(n=4\) he proves integrability, showing at first that the system is quasi-homogeneous and applying then a generalized Kowaleski method to calulate the first integrals. Only the higher oredr terms of the first integrals are given in the paper. He conjectures that the same method can be used to establish Birkhoff integrability for arbitrary \(n\). \smallskip \noindent It is also observed that a combined use of the Kowaleski method and computer simulation gives nonintegrability for the systems with Hamiltonian \[ H=\frac{1}{2}(p_1^2+p_2^2)+ \exp(q_1)+ \exp \biggl(- \frac{q_1 + \sqrt{3}q_2}{2}\biggr) + \exp \biggl(-\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}q_2\biggr)+\exp(\sqrt{3}q_2)+\exp(q_2). \] Appropriate truncations of such systems are however integrable. \smallskip \noindent I find the article clear and coincise.
