The pseudo-oscillator \(H_2=\frac{1}{2}(X^2+x^2)-\frac{1}{2}(Y^2+y^2)\), where \(x,y\) are coordinates and \(X,Y\) their conjugate momenta perturbed by the quartic potential \(H_4=\frac{1}{6}(-\alpha +2\beta -2\gamma)x^4+\alpha x^2y^2+\frac{1}{6}(-\alpha +2\beta +2\gamma)y^4\), is studied by means of Lissajous transformation. The authors show that the first-order normalized system may possess up to five equilibria, each of them indicating the existence of a periodic orbit.
