A type of new posteriori error estimators for Stokes problems (Q5942760)

The authors present a new discrete formulation and a type of new a posteriori error estimators for a second-order element discretization of the Stokes problem. Here one supposes that the pressure is approximated by piecewise first-degree polynomials and the velocity vector field by piecewise second-degree polynomials with a cubic bubble function to be added. The estimators are globally upper and locally lower bounds for the error of the finite element discretization.
