Automorphisms of certain forms of higher degree over ordered fields (Q5943032)

The authors study forms of degree \(d\) in \(n\) variables over ordered fields \(K\). Their main focus is on positive semidefinite forms and those which are linear combinations with positive coefficients of \(d\)th powers of linear forms. In the first part of this paper they prove some properties of \(d\)-independency in \(K^n\) and look at the connections to unique good representations of forms of the mentioned type. In the second part they study automorphisms of forms with unique good representation. They give a decomposition of \(\text{Aut}(f)\) and moreover characterize some finite groups that can be represented as \(\text{Aut}(f)\).
