The article is concerned with a new class of pseudo two-step Runge-Kutta methods for solving initial value problems of ordinary differential equations. Order conditions are derived, and various examples of such methods are presented. It is moreover shown that they are always zero-stable, and appropriate choices of parameters are discussed. The Euler equations for a rigid body are used as a numerical test example to compare several variants of the proposed method.
