Let \(\widetilde{G}_N\) be the dual group of the Vilenkin group \(G_N\); we consider \(\widehat{G}_N\) ordered via the reverse lexicographical ordering. Let \(Q_n\) be the projection in \(L_p\) \((G_N, L_p({\mathcal M},\tau))\) on the eigenspace corresponding to \(\mathfrak n\), where \(L_p({\mathcal M},\tau)\) is the \(L_p\)-space associated with a semi-finite von Neumann algebra, via a generalized triangular truncation operator. Let \(S_n =\sum_{\{k\in G_N:k<{\mathfrak n}\}}Q_k\). The main result states that for every \(p\) with \(1<p<\infty\) there exists a constant \(C_p > 0\) (dependent only on \(p\)) such that \(\|S_n\|\leq C_p\) for all \({\mathfrak n}\in \widehat{G}_N\) and \(N\in\mathbb{N}\cup \{0\}\); here, \(\|\;\|\) means the norm in the space of linear continuous operators from \(L_p(G_N,L_p({\mathcal M},\tau))\) to itself.
