This paper deals with identification and adaptive trajectory tracking of nonlinear stochastic processes via dynamic neural networks. The main goal is to show that the stochastic calculus and the martingale technique together with the strong law of large numbers are effective instruments for the investigation of such systems. Stability conditions for the identification error as well as for the neural network weights are established. Upper bounds for the identification and adaptive tracking errors are given.
