The three-dimensional eddy current problem is formulated using an iterative mixed element method without the Lagrange multiplier. The iterative procedure is derived from a perturbation problem in magnetostatics. The continuity of an excitation current density is examined by a correction method based on an orthogonal projection onto a solenoidal space. The magnetic vector potential is discretized by the Nedelec element of simplex type. The biconjugate gradient method is chosen to treat the complex linear symmetric systems arising in the iterative procedure. Numerical results are shown for an asymmetrical conductor with a hole.
