    Let \(L=W(1,n)\) be a Zassenhaus algebra over an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(p>2\), \(\mathcal L\) be a minimal \(p\)-closure of \(L\). It was shown by the author [J. Algebra 204, 549-572 (1998; Zbl 0913.17010)] that irreducible modules of \(L\) coincide with irreducible modules of \(u(\mathcal L,\theta)\), where \(\theta \in L^*\) and \(u(\mathcal L,\theta)\) is the \(\theta \)-reduced enveloping algebra of \(\mathcal L\). Here \(\theta \) is expanded in a special way up to a linear function on \(\mathcal L\). The author studies how many isomorphism classes exist among simple \(u(\mathcal L,\theta)\)-modules for a fixed \(\theta \). Let \(\{ e_i\mid -1\leq i\leq p^n-2 \}\) be a standard basis of \(L\) and \(L_i=\langle e_j\mid j\geq i\rangle\). For \(\theta \in L^*\) the height \(r(\theta)\) is defined as follows \[ r(\theta)=\min \{i\mid \theta (L_i)=0 \} \] if \(\theta (L_{p^n-2})=0\) and \(r(\theta)=p^n-1\) if \(\theta (L_{p^n-2}) \neq 0\). It is proved that if \(r(\theta)< p^n-1\) the number of simple \(u(\mathcal L,\theta)\)-modules up to isomorphism is equal to that for \(u(L_0,\theta |_{L_0})\), and if \(r(\theta)=p^n-1\), then the number of simple \(u(\mathcal L,\theta)\)-modules is not more than \(p^n\).
