The geometrical approaches to thermodynamical phase transitions from various papapers were collected. The occurrence of Legendrian singularities in thermodynamics, especially related to critical phenomena, is discussed. The thermodynamical interpretation of singularities coming from the convexification of the internal energy is provided and the complete list of generic phenomena occurring in binary mixtures is obtained through the classification of these singularities.
