The class of complex \(JB^*\)-triples [originally introduced by \textit{W. Kaup}, see e.g. Math. Z. 183, 503-529 (1983; Zbl 0519.32024)] includes all \(C^*\)-algebras and all \(JB^*\)-algebras. The author introduces and studies 2-\(JB^*\)-triple-summing operators on real and complex \(JB^*\)-triples. Actually those operators are generalizations of 2-\(C^*\)-summing (resp. 2-\(JB^*\)-summing) operators on \(C^*\)-algebras (resp. \(JB^*\)-algebras). For the most general class of 2-\(JB^*\)-triple-summing operators, the author proves Pietsch's factorization theorems (Theorems 3.5 and 3.6 (resp. Theorems 4.3 and 4.6)) in the setting of complex (resp. real) \(JB^*\)-triples. Note that Grothendieck's inequalities for \(JB^*\)-triples play an important role in the proofs of those theorems. Finally the relations between 2-summing and 2-\(JB^*\)-triple-summimg operators are discussed. For a Pietsch's factorization theorem for \(p-C^*\)-summing operators, see \textit{G. Pisier} [J. Funct. Anal. 29, 397-415 (1978; Zbl 0388.46043)], and also for other related works, see e.g. \textit{J. Martínez} and \textit{A. M. Peralta} [Math. Z. 234, No. 4, 635-646 (2000; Zbl 0977.17032)].
