Let \(F: \mathbb{R}^n\to \mathbb{R}^p\) be a locally Lipschitz function and \(\partial F\) be the generalized Clarke Jacobian. \(F\) has the superlinear (quadratic) approximate property at \(x\in\mathbb{R}^n\) if for any \(h\to 0\) and for any \(V\in\partial F(x+ y)\) \[ F(x+ h)- F(x)- Vh= o(\|h\|)\qquad (=O(\|h\|^2)). \] These notions are closely connected with the notions of semismoothness and strong smoothness to the function \(F\). If \(n=p\) then these properties together with the full rank condition for all \(V\in\partial F\) are essential for superlinear (quadratic) convergence for Newton's method for solving the nonsmooth equation system \(F(x)= 0\). If \(n> p\) then by the implicit function theorem of Clarke, the system \(F(x,y)= 0\) can be solved locally by a function \(G: \mathbb{R}^{n-p}\to \mathbb{R}^p\) assuming the full rank condition for all \(V\in\partial_y F\). This function is locally Lipschitz. In the present paper it is proved that the function \(G\) has the superlinear (quadratic) approximate property at \(x\) if the function \(F\) has this property at \((x,G(x))\).
