In the book by \textit{Y. Nakagami} and \textit{M. Takesaki} [Duality for crossed products of von Neumann algebras, Lect. Notes Math. 731, Springer-Verlag, New York (1979; Zbl 0423.46051)] a duality for locally compact group actions on von Neumann algebras was obtained, this result was extended by \textit{R. J. Blattner} and \textit{S. Montgomery} for Hopf algebra actions on algebras [J. Algebra 95, 153-172 (1985; Zbl 0589.16010)]. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a categorical interpretation of this duality. Let \(A\) be a finite semisimple cosemisimple Hopf algebra over a field \(k\) and let \(B\) be its dual algebra, the author constructs a natural one-to-one correspondence between right \(\mathcal A\)-modules and right \(\mathcal B\)-modules with direct summands, where \(\mathcal A\) (resp. \(\mathcal B\)) is the monoidal category of finite dimensional \(A\)-modules (resp. \(B\)-modules). The relation of this correspondence with the cited duality theorem is studied.
