Resonance expansions and Rayleigh waves (Q5945790)

The author studies expansions of solutions of the wave equation in a compact set with initial data supported in the same set. He considers the general framework of the ``black box scattering'' introduced by Sjöstrand and Zworski. In particular, this includes the classical case of scattering by obstacle with Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions and metric perturbations of the Laplacian with a metric equal to the Euclidean one outside a large ball.
