The author proves a version of the Michael selection theorem stating that, given a paracompact space \(X\), a locally convex metric \(H\)-space (that is a metric space endowed with an additional structure which constitutes a substitute of local convexity in metrizable vector spaces), a set-valued map \(F:X \to Y\) having closed complete and \(H\)-convex values admits a continuous selection provided it is weakly uniformly lower semicontinuous. A generalization of the Michael theorem is thus obtained and some discussion provided showing that the required regularity of \(F\) cannot be relaxed (by replacing it with e.g. quasi lower semicontinuity or almost lower semicontinuity).
