For each \(n\), the Kleinian class group \(\Gamma_0^+(n)\) is the subgroup of \(\text{PSL} (2,\mathbb{R})\) generated by the congruence subgroup \(\Gamma_0(n)\) of the modular group \(\text{PSL} (2,\mathbb{R})\) and all the Atkin-Lehner involutions of \(\Gamma_0(n)\). If \(n\) is squarefree then the topological signature and the genus of \(\Gamma_0^+(n)\) is well understood. This is also the case if \(n\) is not squarefree, except for \(v_2(\Gamma_0^+(n))\), the number of elliptic conjugacy classes of period 2 of \(\Gamma_0^+(n)\). Here \(v_2(\Gamma_0^+(n))\) is completely determined if \(n=eN^2\) with \(e\) squarefree and \(N\) odd or \(e\) has no divisor of the form \(8k+3\) or \(8k+7\).
