For the difference equation \[ x_{n+1}= (1-x_n-x_{n-1}) (1-e^{-Ax_n}), \] where \(A>0\) and \(0<x_{-1}+ x_0<1\), there are determined conditions concerning \(A\) such that (i) every positive solution is eventually strictly decreasing to zero, (ii) every nonoscillatory solution is eventually monotonically converging to \(\overline x\), (iii) every nonoscillatory solution is eventually strictly increasing to \(\overline x\), (iv) every nontrivial solution is oscillating about \(\overline x\). Here, \(\overline x\) is the positive equilibrium, which is asymptotically stable in the last two cases.
