A subgroup of a finite group \(G\) is called \(S\)-quasinormal in \(G\) if it permutes with every Sylow subgroup of \(G\). In this paper the author proves numerous results exploring the effect that \(S\)-quasinormality of families of well-chosen subgroups has on the structure of \(G\). He manages to find in this way sufficient conditions for the supersolvability of \(G\).
