In his paper [Numerical Algorithms 20, 285-301 (1999; Zbl 0962.41010)], the author considered Padé(-type) approximants for real harmonic functions. This involves the approximation of the Fourier coefficients of that function in a Padé(-type) sense. The notion of composed Padé(-type) approximants has been discussed in his paper [Acta Appl. Math. 62, No. 3, 245-343 (2000; Zbl 0976.41017)]. That is a rational approximant having a real and an imaginary part that are Padé(-type) approximants, possibly of different degree structure, to the real and the imaginary part of a complex function. In this paper, the two notions are combined to discuss composed Padé(-type) approximants to complex harmonic functions in the unit disk. The basic properties are studied (existence, convergence). Moreover, it is shown that if an ordinary Padé(-type) approximant for an analytic function is obtained, then its real and imaginary part form a composed Padé(-type) approximant in the above sense.
