A central arrangement \(A\) is a finite family of codimension one subspaces of a vector space \(V\). The author studies the module \(\Omega (A)\) of logarithmic forms with poles along the hyperplanes. This module was analysed by L. Rose and H. Terao. Here the author considers a cochain complex of the module \(\Omega (A)\). He then gives a ``strong preparation lemma'' which proves that under some conditions the module \(\Omega (A\cup H)\) can be deduced from \(\Omega (A).\) This then implies that \(k\)-generic (the intersection of \(k\) hyperplanes is of codimension \(k\)) arrangements are \(k\)-pure (the cohomology of the complex vanishes up to \(k-1\)).
