For a class of nonlinear homogeneous difference equations with periodic coefficients, the authors show that every nonoscillatory entire solution has an exponential bound and the occurrence of oscillation is equivalent to the nonexistence of positive characteristic roots. Sufficient conditions for oscillation in terms of coefficients are also obtained.
