A mathematical model for the study of interstitial fluid motion in a fibrous medium of a stenosed arterial wall is developed by using Debye-Brinkman equation. The solid phase of the porous matrix is considered to be elastic, while the fluid phase is a micropolar fluid. The solutions for the distribution of axial velocity of blood, wall shear stress and wall displacement, as well as for pressure and velocity profiles, are presented in graphs.
