The Hankel transformation of a function \(f\) in a certain space \({\mathcal H}_{p,\mu}\) (called Hardy type space) is defined as: \[ h_\mu(f)(y)= \int^\infty_0 (xy)^{-\mu} J_\mu(xy)f (x)x^{2\mu+1} dx, \] where \(J_\mu\) denotes the Bessel function of the first kind of order \(\mu\) \((\mu>- {1\over 2})\). On \({\mathcal H}_{p,\mu}\), a certain quasinorm \(\|\cdot \|_{p,\mu}\) is defined. The authors prove the following interesting theorem as the main result of the paper. Theorem: Let \(0<p\leq 1\). Then there exists \(C>0\) such that \[ \int^\infty_0 \bigl|h_\mu(f) (x)\bigr|^px^{2 (\mu+1)(p-2)}d \gamma(x) \leq C\|f\|^p_{p,\mu} \] for every \(f\in {\mathcal H}_{p,\mu}\). Here, \(d\gamma (x)= (x^{2\mu+1}/2^\mu \Gamma(\mu+1)) dx\). Various results on Hankel convolution operators and Hankel multipliers on Hardy type spaces are also proved, as well as a Hankel version of the Mihlin-Hörmander theorem for Hardy type spaces.
