Let \(p\) be a prime number, \(G\) a finite \(p\)-group and \(\mathcal O\) a complete discrete valuation ring of characteristic zero with maximal ideal \((\pi)\) such that the factor \({\mathcal O}/(\pi)\) is a field of characteristic \(p>0\). The author proves the following theorem: Let \(\Gamma({\mathcal O}G)\) be the Auslander-Reiten quiver of the group ring \({\mathcal O}G\) and \(\Delta\) the connected component of \(\Gamma({\mathcal O}G)\) containing the projective \({\mathcal O}G\)-lattice \({\mathcal O}G\). Suppose that \({\mathcal O}G\) is of infinite representation type and that \((\pi)\supsetneqq(2)\) in the case where \(p=2\) and \(G\) is the Klein 4-group. Then the tree class of the stable part of \(\Delta\) is \(A_\infty\).
