The purpose of this paper is to study the blow-up time of positive solutions of the one-dimensional heat equation on a half-line with a nonlinear boundary condition. It is shown that the asymptotic behavior of the blow-up time as the size of the initial data tends to infinity is determined by the natural scaling invariance of the problem.
