Let \(\omega\) be an open set in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\geq 2\). A continuous function \(u\) on \(\omega\) is said to be in the Zygmund class \(\Lambda_\alpha (\omega)\) if \[ \bigl|u(x+h)+ u(x-h)-2u(x) \bigr|\leq M \|h \|^\alpha \] \(\forall x\), \((x\pm h)\in \omega\). Then the following extension theorem for subharmonic functions is proved here: Let \(e\) be a closed set in \(\omega\) and \(0<\alpha <2\). Then every subharmonic (resp. harmonic) function \(u\) in \(\Lambda_\alpha (\omega\setminus e)\) has a unique extension to \(\Lambda_\alpha (\omega)\) as a subharmonic (resp. harmonic) function on \(\omega\) if and only if the Hausdorff measure \(H^{n-2+ \alpha}(e)=0\).
