Excited states configurations of the quantum Toda lattice (Q5950546)

The purpose of the paper is to provide new insights into solitonic objects in a typical integrable system as the quantum Toda lattice. The classical-quantum correspondence is described in tems of the discriminant of the system. The hard-wall and harmonic chain limits are discussed for the Toda lattice wave functions. Finally, the author analyses the notion and the validity of the most probable configurations (MPC) and practical ways of estimating them. Different numerical results are presented about the energy levels, morphology of the MPC, fitting in terms of the elliptic theta function and the two-soliton state.
