    Let \(X\) be a Banach space, and \(K\) -- a nonempty convex subset of \(X\). Let \(T: K\to K\) be Lipschitzian and \(\phi\)-hemicontractive, were \(\phi: [0,\infty)\to [0,\infty)\) is a strictly increasing function, such that \(\liminf_{t\to\infty} {\phi(t)\over t}> 0\). The authors establish the weak stability of the so-called Ishikawa iterates generated by \(T\). Similar results are obtained for iteration procedures corresponding to the mappings \(S,U: X\to X\), \(Sx= f+ x- Tx\), \(Ux= f-Tx\), where \(f\) is a fixed element of \(X\), and \(T: X\to X\) is Lipschitzian and \(\phi\)-strongly quasi-accretive (respectively, \(m\)-accretive).
