The authors completely describe the structure of the core modulo its center and the root system for extended affine Lie algebras (which are higher nullity generalizations of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras and Kac-Moody Lie algebras) of type \(B_l\), \(l\geq 3\), \(C_l\), \(l\geq 2\), \(F_4\) and \(G_2\).
