Let \(n\) be a positive integer. The author considers the set \(M_n\) of systems of the form \[ x'=A(t)x,\;x\in\mathbb{R}^n,\;t\in\mathbb{R}^+,\tag{1} \] where \(A\) is a piecewise continuous bounded operator function on \(\mathbb{R}^+\). The upper and lower auxiliary exponents of (1) are defined for each \(k\in \{1, \dots, n\}\) by \[ \overline\nu_k (A)=\varlimsup_{T\to\infty} \varlimsup_{m\to \infty} {1\over mT} \sum^m_{j=1} \ln d_k\bigl(jT,(j-1) T\bigr) \] and \[ \underline \nu_k(A)= \varliminf_{T\to\infty} \varlimsup_{m\to \infty} {1\over mT}\sum^m_{j=1} \ln d_k\bigl(jT, (j-1)T\bigr), \] where \(d_k(t,s)\) is the \(k\)th singular number of the Cauchy operator of (1). On \(M_n\) define the topology of compact convergence of coefficients on \(\mathbb{R}^+\) and denote this topological space by \(M^c_n\). It is proved: Let \(n>1\). If \(k\in\{2,\dots,n-1\}\), then the function \(\underline\nu_k: {\mathcal M}_n\to\mathbb{R}\) does not belong to the second Baire class on \(M_n^c\) (theorem 1), and if \(k\in\{1, \dots,n-1\}\), then the function \(\overline\nu_k: {\mathcal M}_n\to\mathbb{R}\) belongs to the fourth Baire class and does not belong to the third Baire class on the space \(M_n^c\) (theorem 2).
