The authors consider the feedback stabilization problem for a nonlinear affine system, subject to constraints both on the state variables and on the inputs. They assume that the system can be put in canonical form by a differentiable state space transformation. They also attempt to estimate the region of attraction of the closed loop system. The results are applied to the positional stabilization of a rigid body.
